welcome to 'thehealthylife'

This all feels a little bit strange typing up a blog post that currently know one will be reading, but its something I'm used to. I'm Amy, a 16 year old A Level student, aspiring personal trainer, who has a passion for all things related to health and fitness. Blogging isn't new to me I previously created a fashion and beauty blog around 4 years ago named 'Amor', at the time this was my major passion in life I had a huge influence from my older sister who worked in that industry and I formerly wanted to be a make-up artist so I thought blogging about something I loved would help me to get stuck into that field of work, especially if I was successful. However 4 years down the line with 18 followers to my name it all seemed a little pointless, who was I actually writing my posts too? And it had dawned on me that it wasn't my main interest in life anymore, and all my posts became a little lacklustre and were being posted infrequently, two things that are sure to make a blog doomed.

 I've always loved playing sports from a young age. In primary school I started playing netball and as I gradually got older and started my years at secondary school I began to participate in every sport possible rounders, basketball, athletics, hockey etc. However, it wasn't until around a year ago that I realised this is the career path I want to go down and around 6 months ago I decided that personal training was the way forwards for me. As well as all the sports I play I also attend the gym 4-6 times a week, try to go on a run once a week and I also try my best to lead the healtiest possible lifestyle I can, although of course I'm prone to eating the odd digestive biscuit..or two..okay, five. But all in all I find with running my life like this I am a lot happier and my body definitely thanks me for it because 5 years ago I was the one slobbing out on the sofa demolishing the entire contents of the biscuit tin every day, I was just lucky with my high metabolism I didn't put all the weight on at the time.

My life is now revolved around exercise and staying healthy and that's something I want to be able to share with everyone and I think that knowing health and fitness is definitely the career path I want to go down, I will be a lot more motivated into putting more time and effort into blogging a lot more frequently, which hopefully will allow me to build up a bigger following of people. Of course I know blogging isn't all about the number of followers you stack up but when no ones interested in your blog for such a long period of time and there's people around you that have succeeded in much shorter periods of time than you, you cant help but feel, that in a way, you've failed.

Anyway, what I really wanted to say was, hello and welcome to 'thehealthylife'!! On here you will find a range of blog posts from quick and healthy recipes, workout tips and tricks to fitness fashion. I can honestly say I'm truly excited to start blogging again and I've already got so many ideas up my sleeve!
